MN Medical Marijuana Program Celebrates 1-Year Anniversary

MN Marijuana Dispensaries

The Minnesota medical marijuana program is celebrating its 1-year anniversary with the opening of new dispensaries. Over the last year the program has grown, which made the need for additional dispensaries throughout the state. Two new dispensaries opened this July in St. Paul and Hibbing, which will make for a total of 8 dispensaries throughout the state.

Coming to the program are additional qualifying conditions including intractable pain, KARE11 News reports. Patients with chronic pain will be able to purchase medical marijuana beginning August 1, following the approval of a medical marijuana license.

CEO of Leafline Labs, Dr. Andrew Bachman said, “Business is going phenomenally. A year ago today, there were zero patients in the registry of Minnesota and now there are over 1,500, and that is incredible when you think about the amount of care that has been delivered and the amount of lives that have been impacted.”

Bachman also said, “The future of the industry is moving a mile a minute and the key to this program, the key to any company in this program, is being adaptable. We’ve always prided ourselves in being able to focus on our patients, first and always.”
