Idaho Won’t Be Voting on Medical Marijuana Legalization in 2020

In Idaho, initiatives must get the required number of signatures by April 30 in order to get onto ballots. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no signatures were submitted for medical marijuana legalization.

Idahoans will have to wait until the next election cycle in 2022 to have their voices heard on medical marijuana, Ballotopedia reported.

While Idahoans will have to wait just over a year and a half to have medical marijuana on a ballot again, it gives any potential campaigns time to educate people, obtain more data, and be better prepared for the next opportunity.
