Idaho Governor Candidate Supports Relaxing Marijuana Laws

Cannabis Law

A recent forum was held at the College of Idaho featuring the Republican and Democrat candidates running for Governor. Democrat Paulette Jordan discussed that she supports relaxing enforcement of marijuana laws. Her reasoning is that the state could save money by doing so.

Matt Miles of BYU Idaho doesn’t agree, according to Boise State Public Radio. Miles says the state hasn’t spent much on marijuana law enforcement. He doesn’t think it will gain the candidate any ground.

Jordan seems to be the only option for Idaho voters that want to see some kind of change when it comes to marijuana law in the state. The candidates’ first debate is October 13.
