Idaho Is Inching Towards Medical Marijuana Legalization

Weed

States on all of Idaho’s borders have legalized some form of marijuana. Many members of the press believe that it’s time for Idaho to change course and look more into medical marijuana. The political landscape in the state is changing and some lawmakers are pro-marijuana.

The Idaho Press of Nampa’s editorial board believes that the available data and research regarding marijuana should stop the state’s government from restricting access, according to Magic Valley.

The state is not ready for recreational marijuana. Decriminalization is also supported, as is a “sunset clause” that would require the reassessment of the status of marijuana within a set amount of time.

Resident support for legal medical marijuana in Idaho has been crushed by its governor and opposing lawmakers. It is not known whether marijuana law reform bills will be introduced in the 2019 legislative session.
